GM recalls nearly 80,000 more vehicles: See affected models

General Motors (GM) is recalling nearly 80,000 vehicles due to a safety issue with the transmission.
The recall involves some 2022-2023 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vehicles, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported.
There are 54,722 Chevrolet Express vehicles affected by the recall and 23,102 GMC Savana vehicles affected by it.
Incorrect software in the transmission control module may result in reduced power, unintended deceleration, rear-wheel lockup, or cause the vehicle to move in an unintended direction, the NHTSA said.
If the rear wheels lock up momentarily while driving or the vehicle moves in an unintended direction at low speeds, the vehicle regulator reported, there is increased risk of a crash.
